Iwe had an awesome time here in Maui! I stayed here before 2 years ago and have recommended it to many of my friends and gave them the website. I came right after Covid and it was great but this time 2 weeks was great.. Both times I rented through Lonnie Newman and she is always very nice and friendly. Easy check in. Originally in unit 109 (love the ground floor lanai and direct access to the outside area - unit is dated but view amazing). After first night plumbing problems and we were moved to an upstairs unit when it was determined the problem wasn't a quick fix. Newer updated unit 204 upstairs. Still ocean view though smaller balcony. We were back on Maui to help support the island with donations, volunteer and generous shopping, activities and tipping. Would stay again when on vacation.

Beautiful apartments with wonderful amenities. The Suite was as advertised with a full kitchen, bedroom and bath. We brought home leftovers and were able to utilize the oven, microwave and sink to reheat not only our meals but to prep additional ingredients as well. The backyard patio was wonderful to eat at and to also relax and view the ocean sounds and views.

We were a short drive to Lahaina for all our shopping needs, Kaanapali for snorkeling, Kapalua for more private beach going and hiking, and a reasonable drive to Wailea for additional fun!

I would highly recommend for all travelers to Maui who prefer a more individualized experience external of a resort!

We had a wonderful stay. We only experienced trouble with the slider door but maintenance came to the rescue immediately. I do hope when we return someday it will be replaced. I do wish there was a safe on the lower level to lock up valuables. But you can not beat the sunsets and the turtles floating by. Perfect location to all the nice beaches. Snorkeling was pristine. We BBQ'd several nights right out the door. Nice pool to cool off in after snorkeling. We had a wonderful vacation and would gladly stay again. Lonnie was especially great in assisting us.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Kaleialoha. Between friends and family, we rented out a total of 6 suites. every one of the suites were clean and well maintained. Some were newer and more modern than others but the rental prices reflect that.
And per location, you couldn't ask for a better area. We have been to Maui 6 - times as a family, and the Honokowai area is our favourite. It's a little more quite then some of the real touristy areas. The Condo itself is facing, and literally steps from the ocean. There is a nice little swim area to the front and left of the unit as well.
A couple people in our party had small issues with appliances, but Lonnie the property manager was very quick to react and get things rectified.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for beautiful, reasonably priced accomodations.
While you're in the area, check out Dukes for their Hula Pie and Kahlua pork nachos.

Wonderful location and view from the porch. We watched whales and sea turtles swim by. There’s even a drop down area to get into the water (when the sea is calm). I was able to snorkel with sea turtles. Such a wonderful experience. Inside the condo was nice. Thankful for the full kitchen, washer and dryer. The only downside is being from New Orleans, we run the AC all night long to a crisp 70°. Unfortunately, there is only one window unit and it’s not in the bedroom. So it took some adjustments getting used to the warm nights in bed. There are multiple fans but really preferred colder temps.

We had spent 10 days earlier in the vacation at Kihei and then moved up to Kaleialoha rentals in kaanapali beach, the experience was good, couple of small things would have even made it better. the first 2 feet of the Lanai was covered in black dirt, but we thought it was black mold being it was green outdoor turf all they had to do was wash it off and it looked new, why this was not done before we arrived we are not certain, also the toilet paper holder was hanging half off when we arrived, easy fix if somebody was paying attention. Little things like this are just enough to make you feel the Caretaker is not doing a walk through. Also only lounge chair on the patio was broken. Overall nice location and wonderful view just needed some TLC.

This is the third time we have stayed at Kaleialoha. The location is so ideal, close to the Farmers Market and Bad *** Coffee and not too far to drive to Napili or Lahaina. There is very good snorkeling off the small beach and beautiful views from the lounge chairs and lanai. The unit was clean and well equipped. I only have a couple of suggestions. Part of the experience of staying in a condo is the ability to cook, however all of the knives in the unit were dull, making it very hard to prep fruits and vegetables. Sharp decent quality knives we be such a plus! Also, it was very humid the week we stayed. An extra portable fan for the bathroom would have helped cool it down after a shower. Overall, the price and location is phenomenal, will definitely be back!

We stayed in unit 109 10/17-11/1. We were celebrating my brother-in-law's 5oth birthday; he owns unit 113.

The unit was as advertised. The unit was clean and had everything you need for a visit. We cooked one dinner and the kitchen appliances all worked well. The bathroom and bedroom were both great.

Of course, the real reason we rented this unit was that it is ground floor and has a lanai that is about 20 feet from the ocean. With the table and chairs, it is an incredible place to hang out.

As noted, there is an entrance to the beach about 25 yards from the lanai. Great swimming area; there were a number of surfers and SUPers each day.

Kaleialoha is very conveniently located. We walk each morning to the Farmer Market to get Acai bowls that we then ate across the street at the park overlooking the ocean. There are numerous restaurants and a full super market nearby as well. We also rented scooters from a place sown the street.

This is a great place to either use a launching pad (we went hiking 3 days, went to Paia for a day and Kannapali 3 times).

It would have been nice to know in advance that the AC wall unit was in the living room instead of the bedroom ...but we were able to work around it. Clean, comfortable and right on the water. What more could you ask? We would stay here again. This is our 35th trip to Maui and we always look for places like this. The mainstream resorts offer an experience at twice the price, and waaaaay far from the water.
Granted there is something to be said for someone to walk out to the pool and ask "May I bring you another drink?" but we learned a long time ago to trade all that for a wonderful view and avoiding the throngs of people. This place was perfect for that and we hope to visit again.

This was our first trip to Maui. We have been to Oahu & stayed at a beautiful hotel. The location of the condo was perfect. Being oceanfront is what we wanted. We had use of beach chairs, sand toys & a boogie board. We truly felt like locals. Got a bottom unit (#109) from a cancellation and took it during a busy period. Glad we did. The unit and location was pretty all as advertised. The unit had everything we needed to cook and generally stay in an appartment-like setting rather than a hotel experience which we prefer. The staff were very helpful and accessible. We stayed there to relax and call our home base between our various activities around Maui. Nice location close to Kaanapali and Lahaina. Small beach area though since the whole Honokowai/Kahana area is mostly rock wall to the ocean. Not an issue but couple that with the fact that mostly retirement age people live in the building and this is more of an adult quiet location rather than for a family with kids. We found the people very friendly and helpful. Only two issues....the Internet in the room seemed down except for the building Internet wchich was weak and did not work in some rooms of the condo. the other was the AstroTurf on the unit's lanai. A nit perhaps but upgrading that to something less tacky would be the only real change we would request,,,,

This is our third stay at Kalelaloha and we love the location. This unit 109 needed some TLC, we spent about 2 hours fixing the drain on the kitchen sink as water was running all over underneath. Looking out between Lanai and Molokai was transfixing. Hearing the conch shells as the sun sunk every evening. The breeze thru the apartment and the waves crashing against the rocks. We loved our stay on Maui. Honokawai and Kahana were great. Our stay at Kaleialoha was the 2nd week of a 2 week vacation. The location is perfect. The ocean is right out your door. When we got home we missed the sound of the waves. The view of Molokai and Lanai are awesome! The grounds are kept really nice, the BBQs cleaned every day and the ocean front chairs were perfect! Too bad the pool is in the front of the building rather than the back so you could look at the ocean. Couple of things not happy with; although I specifically asked if the pool had any scheduled down time or repair needed, they decided to close the pool for a few days for maintenance. The office staff didn't even know it was happening. I know it needs to be done periodically but I turned down another condo because they were having their pool down for maintenance and they offered a $70 a day discount for as long as the pool was down. When we couldn't take it any more I asked the office if any reciprical arrangements had been made for use of another condo's pool. Although that had not been done she had the key to the pool gate of another condo a couple doors down and we were able to go there to swim. Our unit was nice enough but is in need of updating. The wallpaper in the bathroom was starting to come off the walls. There is no a/c in unit 109. Would not have been a problem if the front door had a screen/security door on it, but without the ability to let the air through it was too warm. The owners provided two large fans, but they really are not enough. The phone does not work in the unit but cell reception is fine. The unit was clean and provided everything we needed except a rice cooker. Previous guests had left some spices which were really helpful. The office staff was good and offered to print out our boarding passes when we left.
